NYC visit with MM

John and I got back last night from a fantastic trip to NYC. We stayed with Mary-Mitchell, and were treated to a wonderful weekend with her. We saw her show "Company," a Sondheim revival, which was absolutely fantastic! We got to meet a lot of the cast as well as the director John Doyle....everyone told us how wonderful MM is (as if we needed to hear that!), and was incredibly nice. We stopped at Ground Zero to pay our respects, and mostly walked around to absorb the city. We saw the 24-hour Apple store that turns into some sort of dance club on weekend nights (MM bought her computer very late one night, shouting questions to the employees over the music and dodging dancers....so amusing). We got back late last night, absolutely exhausted. Congrats to MM for her show's Tony win last night (Best Revival of a Musical)!!

Atlantic Beach Weekend
This past weekend we went to Atlantic Beach, NC and stayed at Johnnie and Colon's place with several friends from our Wake Forest days. Zach made the long trek from SC, and it was great seeing him. Winston enjoyed meeting adorable Katrin Cronlund, who was very willing to feed him anything available, kiss him, and put him in time-out when he went "puppy" on us. The Watsons brought both James and the chocolate fondue fountain....both of which made us very happy.

Welcome!
Welcome, family and friends! As we begin our new life adventure, we feel so excited about the future yet anxious about being so far from many of you. So, we're hoping that this blog will make it easier to keep everyone close. Our first entries will be about our last weeks in Chapel Hill, NC. We are squeezing so much into our lives these days....we want to see everyone and still be prepared for our move to Tucson, AZ. So, enjoy the photos and comment as you see fit (I know none of you are shy!). Finally, please let us know how we can make this a better blog!
Much love,
John and Erin
